How do I view and manage AI agents?
AI agents in Velory are AI-powered tools and services like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or Midjourney. They are managed separately from regular software so you can track AI adoption, costs, and usage across your organisation in one place.
In this guide
Before you begin
You need Admin or Manager access to view and manage AI agents.
Navigate to the AI agents list
- Go to Assets in the navbar.
- Click AI Agents.
You will see a table listing each AI agent service your company has set up.
Understand what you see
Each row in the table represents an AI agent service:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Agent | The service name and logo |
| Seats | Number of active licenses assigned |
| Unused Licenses | Active licenses not assigned to any employee |
| Cost/mo | Normalised monthly cost in your company's currency |
Click on any agent to open its detail page, where you can manage plans, licenses, provisioning, and more.
Search and filter agents
Search — Use the search bar to find agents by name.
Filters — You can filter by:
- Category — Productivity, Development, Security, Communication, Design, and more
- Vendor — the company that provides the agent
How AI agents work in Velory
AI agents use the same structure as software — Service → Plan → License — but live in their own section so you can manage them separately.
| Level | What it is | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Service | The AI agent product | ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Midjourney |
| Plan | A pricing tier | ChatGPT Plus, Copilot Business |
| License | An individual seat assigned to an employee | John's Copilot Business license |
Plans, licenses, cost tracking, provisioning, and renewals all work the same way as for software. If you are familiar with the Software section, you already know how AI agents work.
The detail page
Click on an agent to open its detail page. The tabs available are:
| Tab | What you find there |
|---|---|
| Details | Service name, vendor, category, description, and service stewards |
| Plans | Pricing tiers with cost, billing cycle, and seat limits |
| Licenses | Individual seats — assign, provision, deprovision, filter by plan or role |
| Usage | Usage metrics (if a usage integration is set up) |
| Resources | Subdivisions within the service (e.g. teams, workspaces) |
| Roles | Access levels like Admin, Member, Viewer |
| Provisioning | Configure how access is granted — Direct API, Workflow, or Manual |
| Activity | Event log of all changes |
Good to know
What is the difference between AI agents and Software?
They share the same underlying system — plans, licenses, costs, provisioning, and renewals all work identically. The difference is purely organisational: AI agents have their own section, their own navigation, and their own tab on employee profiles. This makes it easy to track AI tool adoption and spending separately from traditional software.
Can employees browse and request AI agents?
Yes. Employees can see available AI agents in the Store under the AI Agents section. Depending on your company's request policies, they can either get instant access or submit a request for approval.
Where do AI agents show up on an employee's profile?
On the employee detail page, assigned AI agent licenses appear in the AI Agents tab — separate from the Software tab.
