How do I use tags on hardware?

Before you begin

You need Admin or Manager access to manage tags on hardware.

Add tags to a device

1. Go to Assets → Hardware.
2. Click on a device to open its detail page.
3. In the Tags section on the Details tab, click the tags field.
4. Search for an existing tag or type a new one.
5. Press Enter or select from the suggestions.

You can add multiple tags. Remove a tag by clicking the × on it.

Add tags in bulk

1. Select devices using the checkboxes in the hardware list.
2. Choose Assign tags from the bulk action bar.
3. Select the tags you want to apply.

Filter by tags

In the hardware list, click the filter icon and use the Tags filter to show only devices with specific tags.

Good to know

Can I create new tags on the fly?

Yes. If you type a tag name that does not exist yet, it will be created when you press Enter.

Are tags shared across the company?

Yes. Tags are available to all admins and managers in the same company account.
