How do I manage delivery addresses?

Updated 3 weeks agoSara AhlénAdmin settings

Settings → Policies → Delivery & Returns holds the addresses your team can pick at checkout: offices, warehouses, and wherever else hardware needs to arrive.

Saving them here means nobody types an office address into a checkout form, and nobody mistypes it.

Before you begin

You need Admin access.

Add an address

  1. Go to Settings → Policies → Delivery & Returns.
  2. Select Add address.
  3. Give it a name, then fill in the country and address lines.

Name is internal only — "it isn't part of the delivery address". It is what appears in the checkout picker, so make it the thing your team would recognise: "Stockholm Office", not "HQ 2".

Set the country first; the address fields validate against that country's conventions.

Allow home delivery

A switch on the same page: Allow home delivery lets employees choose their own home address as the destination when requesting an asset.

With it off, requests use the company address or one of the saved addresses above — so an employee working remotely has to have their hardware sent to an office and forwarded. With it on, they pick their own address at request time and nothing needs storing here.

Turning it on is what makes remote onboarding work without an admin retyping a home address per hire.

Return policy

The same page sets where employees send devices back, used for both renewals and offboarding. It splits by where someone works, which is why the Work arrangement field on an employee matters beyond reporting.

WhoOptions
In-office workers — anyone with an assigned officeTheir own office, or a specific address
Remote workers — anyone without oneA specific address, or IT arranges the return

Lock the destination decides how firm that is. On, a manager cannot change it during a renewal or offboarding. Off, it is a default they may override.

Managers can add addresses lets managers, not just admins, add company addresses from the return and delivery pickers.

An employee with no office counts as remote, so check Work location on the roster before relying on the in-office branch.

Good to know

Is this the same as the billing address?

No, and they are the two most commonly confused fields in Velory. Delivery is where hardware arrives. Billing is where the invoice goes. See How do I set up billing details?.

What happens if I delete an address?

It disappears from the picker, so nothing new can be sent there. Check any in-flight orders to that address before deleting rather than after.

Should I add every office?

Add the ones people actually order to. An address list longer than the number of places hardware really goes makes the checkout picker slower to use, and a stale office in the list is a delivery waiting to go to the wrong city.

Can I restrict who can deliver where?

Not from this page. Every saved address is available at checkout. What an employee may request at all is governed by request policies.
