What can I configure in company settings?
Settings is where Velory is shaped to your company: your details, your hierarchy, the rules requests follow, who can do what, and what connects to what.
This page is a map. Each entry links to the article for it.
Before you begin
You need to be a company Owner or Admin. Managers and employees cannot open Settings at all — see Who can change which settings?.
What to set up first
If Velory is new to you, this order wastes the least effort:
- Company details — name, logo, currency. Everything else displays against these.
- Categories — the tree that hardware policies and custom attributes attach to. Awkward to restructure later.
- Organisation structure and groups — who your company is. Request policies and software assignment point at groups.
- Rule-sets, then request policies — a policy cannot be saved without a rule-set, so build them in that order.
- Billing and delivery addresses — before the first order, not after.
- Everything else as you need it.

Good to know
Where is Subscription?
The Subscription section is visible but its pages do not yet show your real subscription — they read demonstration data rather than your account. Treat the figures there as placeholders, and talk to Velory about your plan directly.
Why does my sidebar differ from a colleague's?
Feature availability, not permission. Budgets is switched off for everyone and never appears. Financing and Power-ups appear only where they are enabled, so a sidebar with them and one without are both correct.
I cannot find a setting described in an article
Check whether you are a scoped admin — restricted to a group or reporting tree. Organization in particular is unavailable to scoped admins. See Who can change which settings?.
Which settings affect employees immediately?
Company details, VAT rate and delivery addresses are visible in the store straight away. Request policies take effect when published, not while a draft. Roles apply on the person's next request.
